Throughout February and until March 15th, Centro Ana Frank Argentina will be open to the public Wednesday to Saturday, between 2pm and 7pm. Tickets will be free of charge on Wednesdays and will be available as a two for one deal when presenting the flyer above in either paper or digital form.
The traveling exhibition “Reading and Writing with Anne Frank” will be available for visitors at the Museum. It is ideal for youngsters ages 9+, making it the perfect visit for family groups.
On February 17th we will be holding a writing workshop for youngsters.
The museum is located in Superí 2647, CABA, Argentina. Guided tours in English are available upon request.
Registration still open for the seventh Official Delegation to the Netherlands “Amsterdam from the perspective of Anne Frank”
For the seventh consecutive year, we present you with the extraordinary opportunity to join an Official Delegation to the Netherlands that will accompany the winners of our the 7th literary competition and 7th Project competition in July 2016.
We will visit the cities of Amsterdam and The Hague, including the Anne Frank House and places of historical interest to Anne’s life. It will also include Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, the Peace Palace, the International Criminal Court and the Dutch Parliament, among others. The experience will also be added a unique touch, with interviews with people close to the life of Anne Frank and an official reception at the residence of the Argentinian Ambassador in the Netherlands.

Registration still open for the First Teacher Seminar in the Netherlands “Anne Frank: Coexistence and Inclusion” July 2016
This year our Teacher Training Institute launches its first First Teacher Seminar in the Netherlands “Anne Frank: Coexistence and Inclusion”: it’s a unique experience of in-site training.
- Understanding the phenomena of violence and discrimination, particularly in a classroom setting
- Inquiring into ethical, political, and social issues
- Analyzing the role of teacher and posible strategies for intervention
- Strengthening the concepts of inclusión and coexistence nowadays

Registration still open for our Second National Guide Encounter
On March 12, 13, and 14 2016 we will carry out our Second National Guide Encounter. Youngsters from all over Argentina and Uruguay have been invited to join in this program, which in its first edition got 150 people together for a weekend of workshops regarding Anne Frank, the Argentine Dictatorship, and Human Rights today.
Bookings now open for school visits
Students and teachers of all levels are invited to join in these youth-led experiences. We propose two different visits:
- ”Anne Frank, a history for today”: photographic exhibition, short films, scenographic recreation of Secret Annex, a sapling of the chestnut tree Anne Frank wrote to on her Diary, an exhibition on the last Argentine Dictatorship and Human Rights today.
- ”Freedom of Being, Free to Choose” workshop: magnetic workshop Freedom of Being, where students create their own exhibitions on certain human rights topics, and Free2Choose, where students debate confronting human rights issues.
Schools may ask for visits in Spanish, English, or Argentine Sign Language.

Special Activities for Schools
Encounters of Schools in Diversity of Cultures and Beliefs: for middle schools, high schools, and special education schools.
After the emotional experiences that we have held with over 30 schools since 2012, in 2016 we once again invite schools to join in a half-day workshop focused on increasing coexistence through dialogue. We gather 5 schools of different backgrounds to present their institutions, culture, and elements that make up their identity. Through the morning, the museum opens its rooms for a special tour, and groups share workshops with different dynamics to reflect on discrimination, as well as possible actions and proposals that increase coexistence in diversity.
Newspaper Project: III edition. Middle school and special education students take on the roles of journalists and writers.

After two very positive editions, we launch once again this project that promotes Reading comprehension, critical Reading, research, debate, collective reflection and community engagement while dealing with topics that are relevant to the story of Anne Frank, the Argentina Dictatorship, and Human Rights Today. Students conduct surveys, interviews and various journalistic techniques to develop their very own newspapers. One article of every school is selected to take part in a collective printed newspaper called The Kids’ Voice, which includes classroom activities and is distributed in schools all over Argentina.”
Anne Frank exhibition inaugurated at Universidad Católica Argentina
On Februrary 11th we inaugurated for the first time at Universidad Católica Argentina an exhibition on the life and legacy of Anne Frank. The exhibition includes original WWII objects and will be available throughout February and early March, when it will include special activities organized with the University.
The Guides’ Voice
Juan Cruz Acevedo is 17 years old. He has been a guide at the museum since 2014, when he was still in high school. Next month he will be starting a degree in Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires, where he hopes to pursue International Law. This is, in his words, what it means to be a guide at CAFA:
At CAFA I found my place. I had never in my life thought that I would become a guide a museum, and let alone one that treated such delicate subjects that have had such repercussion in our history. Since I became a part of the team of guides I never stopped running into situations I never dreamed of, such as standing in front of school groups, a lot of the times my own age, to tell them something much larger than a sum of historical events, to tell them something that moved the whole world.
Not only have I learned many things regading Anne Frank and the Shoah; I also learned to open up more, to meet people who are very different from me and each other. I got to open my mind, compared to how I was before. I share this experience with other guides who are so different. I love knowing that we are such a diverse group of youngsters but so similar, particularly in one thing: we are passionate about what we do, we don’t only share the story of a war, a genocide, a testimony; it goes beyond that. We are volunteers. We are in a constant struggle claiming human rights, that weren’t only violated in those times but also today, where there are very clear examples. Life got me to CAFA and I see that as a responsibility to transmit this message of freedom, respect, coexistence; something the museum allows me to do.
